<p dir="auto">I would like to adapt some rendering settings (eg. the fog near and far distance) via code.<br />
Since I did not find anything about that in the documentation I wanted to ask, if this is even possible and if so how?</p>

This sounds like a very good idea. We'll do our best to add it for 0.8.0.</p>
