SAMSON cannot reach samson-connect under VPN

Hello,

I am trying to run SAMSON in a Linux box which should be connected to the internet via VPN. When I try to run SAMSON I get this:

After clicking OK, I get this

Finally, after clicking OK again I get this

As you see, SAMSON was not fully started. Could you please tell me if I need to open a specific port, or some special network configuration if connected using a VPN?

Hi @Luis ,

Did you specify any proxy settings when installing SAMSON? You can try to specify them in SAMSON via Preferences > Network > Proxy and then restart SAMSON.

Thanks for the quick reply on this one too. It's an SSL-handshake-failed error. I am testing the proxy settings. I'll let you know.

but I dont connected samson under vpn
when I start samson it write that --- verify your samson connection

and I have another issue that I have started GROMACS free trial but it was not activated in samson app panel

Dear @Aydin .

If you mean the GROMACS interaction model extension then it is not yet available in the latest SAMSON (you can see its availability on its page).

If you want to use GROMACS then we would recommend trying GROMACS Wizard extension.
